In February 2017, Jeanne was appointed by the Thundermist Board of Directors to serve as Interim Chief Executive Officer. Jeanne previously served as Thundermist's Chief Financial Officer at Thundermist, where she was responsible for all aspects of the agency’s financial, IT, human resource, compliance and facilities functions. Prior to joining Thundermist in 2013, Jeanne served as the Interim CEO of Westerly Hospital, where she assisted the Special Master with the development of a turnaround plan, bridge analysis and a court-supervised sale process and transition. She also served as the hospitals Executive Vice President and COO, and Chief Financial Officer/Vice President of Operations between the years of 2004 and 2012. She also previously served as the CFO at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia, NY. Jeanne has her BS in Accounting from Canisius College in NY and her M.B.A. from Salve Regina University. She serves as a Board Finance Committee Member of NHPRI and is a member of the Ocean State YMCA Audit Committee.
David Bourassa, M.D.

Dr. David Bourassa graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine with honors and completed his Pediatric Residency at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He began his career at Thundermist Health Center in 1997 as a full-time pediatrician. He was appointed Medical Director in 1998 and as the agency expanded into additional communities in 2003, Dr. Bourassa was named Senior Vice President/Chief Medical Officer.
Dr.Bourassa has been the supervising physician and Medical Director for the three Thundermist school-based health centers in Woonsocket since 1999. He has been a member of the Rhode Island Health Center Association Clinical Leadership Committee since 1999 and served as chairman from February 2002 until November 2003.
Dr. Bourassa is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a member of the RI Medical Society, and a member of the American Mensa Society. He is also very interested in international health care. In 1997 he volunteered his time and services to AmeriCares in Armenia where he worked with local physicians to implement well child initiatives. In 2005 and 2006 Dr. Bourassa spent two weeks in the rural and impoverished regions of Honduras through a partnership between Thundermist and Shoulder to Shoulder, Inc. Shoulder to Shoulder is a private, non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO) providing health care services in third world countries.

Mike brings over thirty years of healthcare financial management experience to the role of Interim Chief Financial Officer at Thundermist. Prior to joining Thundermist as Finance Director in 2014, Mike had served for fourteen years as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island. He also served as the Vice President of Business Development for Memorial from 1989 to 2000. Prior to Memorial, Mike served as the Finance Director and Chief Financial Officer for the Providence Community Health Centers from 1985 to 1989, and then served on their Board of Directors as Treasurer for fourteen years. Additionally, Mike served on the Board of Directors of the Neighborhood Health Plan of RI from 1997 to 2000. Prior to his financial management career, Mike worked as a Milieu Therapist at the Brattleboro Retreat and the Massachusetts Mental Health Center. He has a BA from Allegheny College and an MBA with concentration in Healthcare Management from Boston University, and also attended the Cemanahuac Anthropology Institute in Cuernavaca, Mexico.
Matthew Roman, LICSW

As the agency’s Chief Operating Officer, Matt is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Thundermist's three medical and dental sites and services. Having previously served as the Heath Center Director at Tri-Town Community Action Agency, Matt brings a wealth of experience in practice transformation and innovation to THC. Prior to working at Tri-Town, Matt served in various capacities at Family Service of Rhode Island in Providence, first as the Director of Home Based Services, and most recently as their Vice President of Clinical Services.
Matt holds his undergraduate degree from Saint Lawrence and his Masters of Social Work from New York University. He also graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Masters in Business Administration.
Matt is a recipient of the Collaborative Leadership in Action Award and the First Annual New York University School of Social Work Excellence in Social Work Research Award.
Mary Rose, MS, PMHNP, CHCQM, CCM

As the agency’s Chief Nursing Officer, Mary is responsible for providing leadership for nursing functions and development, clinical transformation, efficiency and quality improvement for Thundermist. Her role will also include goals of maximizing the potential and practice of nurses and medical assistants at Thundermist.
Prior to joining Thundermist as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2015, Mary served in the same capacity at CenterPointe Hospital and PsychCare Associates in St. Louis, MO, where she worked in the outpatient clinic and hospital. Mary has considerable experience designing programs that integrate health services with primary and specialty care services. While working as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Center for Life Management in Derry, NH, she was responsible for adult outpatient psychiatric evaluations, medication management, inpatient psychiatric consultations and ongoing evaluations/treatment of all mental health issues. She also served as the Director of Integrated Care for the Center for Life Management.
Mary received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Austin Peay State, and attended Harvard University for Master of Pharmacology classes. She received a Master’s of Science degree from Rivier University in Nashua, NH and obtained her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification. She also holds certifications in Case Management and Health Care Quality Management.

Diane Evans began her tenure as Executive Director (Woonsocket) and Chief Information Officer for Thundermist Health Center in December 2011. She currently provides direct Project management of strategic initiatives and leads staff in utilization of project management best practices and process improvements. She is responsible for the creation and maintenance of Thundermist annual plan and key performance indicators, as well as the overall management of the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program. Previously she worked at Dell Services Healthcare and Life Sciences at Blue Cross Blue Shield of RI as a Project Management Office Director providing governance and oversight to all Information Technology and Claims projects. She is a seasoned professional with healthcare experience ranging from patient care, health insurance claims processing, Customer Service, Information Technology, new product design or enhancements and migration onto new claims processing platforms. She studied Health Care Administration at Southern Illinois University and Northeastern University. Diane is also a veteran of the United States Navy.

For more than 20 years, Ms. Quindazzi has worked in health service organization management, including quality assurance systems, utilization review, claims data analysis, fraud investigation, and customer and provider service call center management. She started at Thundermist in January 2012 as a Quality Improvement Consultant overseeing the newly expanded Call Center. In July of 2012, Ms. Quindazzi was named Executive Director of Thundermist’s South County site upon the retirement of Kerry Strickland from that role.Previous to her work at Thundermist, Ms. Quindazzi was a Director at Blue Cross in Service Center Training and Quality Management, where she was responsible for all program initiatives, including the development of the training curriculum, needs assessments, on-line training manuals, computer-led training modules, and all training programs. Additionally, Ms. Quindazzi was accountable for strategic planning and oversight for telephone quality assurance programs. Ms. Quindazzi also held positions in Grievance & Appeals, Health Benefits Management, and Qualitative Measurement & Management/Utilization.
Ms. Quindazzi holds an MS in Health Services Administration from Salve Regina University, and a BA in English from the University of Rhode Island. She is also an experienced college-level instructor in a health services management curriculum.
Cynthia Farrell, SPHR

Since 2007, Cynthia Farrell, has provided leadership to Thundermist Health Center’s Human Resources Department. With the strategic use of HR technology, Cynthia oversees recruiting, staffing, benefit administration and organizational development for Thundermist’s nearly 400 person workforce.
Prior to joining Thundermist, Cynthia served as the Director of Training for Ocean State Job Lot, and between 1992 and 2003, Cynthia held various leadership positions at in Operations and Human Resources at CVS/Caremark in Woonsocket.
Cynthia holds a Masters of Education from the University of Rhode Island, a B.S. in Business Management from Lesley University, and maintains certification as a Senior HR Professional. Cynthia serves on the Board of Directors for the Northern Rhode Island Area Health Education Center.

Lauren Nocera started a career in health care in 1999 as an MSW internship at Thundermist. After completing graduate school, she spent three years working in the HIV/AIDS field before coming back to Thundermist in 2002. From 2002 to 2006 Lauren served as the Director of Community Health Programs, focusing on school-based health and dental programs, Health Care for the Homeless, behavioral health, social services, and geriatric outreach. Lauren returned to Thundermist in 2010 to lead the organization’s program development work, including grant writing, project management and community partnership development. She led Thundermist’s successful transition of the family medicine residency program from Kent Hospital, and Thundermist’s outreach and enrollment initiative that enrolled thousands of uninsured people in affordable health plans.
In addition to work at Thundermist, Lauren was the Assistant Director at Comprehensive Community Action’s Family Health Services, focusing on health center operations and program development from 2006 to 2010.
Lauren holds an MSW in Administration and Clinical Practice, with at Health, Disability and Aging concentration from Rhode Island College, and a MPH with a dual concentration in Social and Behavioral Sciences, and Health Law from Boston University. Her undergraduate degree is from Hampshire College. Lauren is also an experienced college-level instructor in the social work field.
Lauren is especially interested in the intersection of health, health care access, and social justice issues, with particular interest in transgender health, healthy food access, and addiction issues.
Marlene Roberti, MPA

With more than 25 years of development, communication and policy experience, Marlene joined the staff of Thundermist in 2013. Prior to joining THC, Marlene served as the Director of Policy and Education and the Director of Development and Public Relations for Day One, the state’s sexual assault coalition. She also previously worked as the Director of Community Relations at Community Health Systems and Community Visiting Nurse Agency in Attleboro, MA and at Rhode Island Project/AIDS in Providence. She served as the President of the Board of Directors of Women in Transition, as well as on the Board of Dorcas Place and 2 to 1: The Coalition to Preserve Choice.
Ms. Roberti holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Rhode Island College and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Rhode Island. She is also a graduate of Leadership Rhode Island.
