The Harvard Business School Association of Southeastern New England is hosting a dinner and panel discussion on Healthcare Reform at Thundermist Health Center on Thursday, March 18th.

Could there be anything more current, more topical, or more important than healthcare reform? Please join us for a dynamic discussion including Maria Montanaro, CEO of Thundermist Health Center (and Harvard Business School graduate of the Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management program), Chris Koller, Commissioner, RI Department of Health Insurance and Laura Adams, CEO, RI Quality Institute.

The evening will begin with hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar reception with tours of Thundermist, followed by an interactive panel discussion on healthcare reform. The evening concludes with a catered sit-down dinner and lively conversation among Harvard Business School Association- Southeastern New England members, other Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management graduates, and key people from the community.

DATE: Thursday, March 18th; Reception and tours begin 5:30 p.m., panel discussion and dinner at 6:00 p.m.

COST: $40 per person includes hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar, followed by catered dinner. Free parking.

Every Thursday from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Thundermist will host a weekly farmer’s market on the 1st floor of 450 Clinton St. in Woonsocket. The program is a collaboration between Thundermist, Brown, the RI Dept Of Health and local farmers. This is an effort to reduce the disparities in the availability of low cost healthy foods in our community. You don’t have to be a patient of Thundermist to buy the produce and you can use cash, debit/credit cards, and Food Stamps.  

Thundermist Health Center of West Warwick will be in a new building next year, but in the meantime, walls have been knocked down and exam rooms have been added at the current Main Street location.

In an effort to accomodate patient need the facility went through a major renovation...and continued renovating after pipes burst in the space above the clinic on New Year's weekend, creating a flood.  Dedicated staff worked late into the night and over the holiday weekend to clean up the damage. Because of the flood damage, a redesign of the new exam and behaviorial health rooms were added to the existing renovation plans.
 
The "new" site looks great with an expanded check in area and waiting room, additional exams rooms, and more efficient use of staff space.
