General Responsibilities
The staff physician is responsible for providing primary medical care to health center patients who have been assigned to him/her. The physician is a licensed, autonomous provider executing professional clinical judgment in the care of his/her patients, according to the guidelines, policies and procedures set forth by the agency.
Qualifications
• MD. or D.O. with a completed three-year (minimum) residency in one of the following: family medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics/gynecology or pediatrics. • Board Certification; in specialty (family medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics/gynecology or pediatrics within two years start of employment. • Full staff appointment/privileges at hospital (s) designated by Agency. • Full, unrestricted license to practice medicine as a physician in RI
