OVERVIEW:

Health care is rapidly changing. To continue delivering high-quality care in a way that meets each patient’s individual needs, Thundermist Health Center (THC) has adopted a new model of team-based, integrated care. In this model, a multi-disciplinary care team works closely together, sharing the same electronic record and often seated together in the same pod.

THC is committed to providing effective and efficient behavioral health care in the primary care setting. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Residency Training Program provides comprehensive training in delivering evidence-based care to underserved populations in a high-functioning patient-centered medical home setting.

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Residency Training Program will provide the new psychiatric nurse practitioner an unparalleled experience working with a diverse population of patients with a full spectrum of psychiatric diagnoses. A dedicated team of highly-experienced preceptors works side-by-side with residents to help them develop expertise in their field.
