Thundermist Expands Its Commitment to Woonsocket with New School-Based Health Center

Thundermist Gala Raises Nearly $50,000 to Expand Access to Health Care
Warwick, RI (October 19, 2022)—Thundermist Health Center hosted its annual fundraising event, Moonlight at the Garden, on September 26, 2022 at the Roger Williams Botanical Center in Providence. The event raised more than $49,000 to benefit the patients and programs of Thundermist.
Funding for Thundermist was raised through sponsorship, a live fund-a-need giving opportunity, and an incredible silent auction. The event was an opportunity for more than 125 business leaders and community members to come together for a night of fun and philanthropy in support of the community and Thundermist Health Center.
“The money raised during Moonlight at the Garden will ensure patients have access the health care they need, when they need it,” said Jeanne LaChance, president/CEO. “Thundermist cares for patients regardless of ability to pay. In addition, we have unique programs and services that meet the needs of the community. None of this would be possible without the generosity of our donors.”
Moonlight at the Garden was the first in-person event Thundermist hosted since 2019.
“As a Thundermist patient, I know firsthand the importance of the organization’s work and mission,” said Andrea Rollin, chair of the Thundermist Board of Directors. “The money raised at Moonlight at the Garden helps make Thundermist the special place that it is. Your generosity supports things like our food pantry, school-based health centers, transportation to appointments, and family therapy rooms. Thank you for giving us the tools and resources to meet each patient where they are.”
Bowerman Construction and Mutual of America served as the gold sponsors. Silver and bronze sponsors included Green & Greenberg, Landmark Medical Center, Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island, Air Masters of New England, Chace, Ruttenberg & Freeman, LLC., and Sage Environmental.

Thundermist Health Center is a non-profit community health center whose mission is to improve the lives of patients and surrounding communities by delivering exceptional health care that breaks down barriers and promotes healthy lifestyles.
