THUNDERMIST PROVIDES 300 COVID-19 PROTECTION KITS TO COMMUNITY

More than 300 community members have supplies to protect them and their family from COVID-19. Thundermist Health Center distributed 300 free COVID-19 protection kits in Woonsocket.

The kits include a mask, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, cleaning supplies, and more. Thundermist employees provided the kits during a drive-through and walk-up distribution event.

Representatives from the 2020 Census attended and assisted participants with completing the census on-site during the event.

“The community must stay diligent in preventing the spread of COVID-19,” said Sapna Chowdhry, MD, infectious disease specialist and medical director of Thundermist Health Center of Woonsocket. “These supplies will help residents of Woonsocket keep themselves and their family safe. Please remember to wear a mask, stay six feet away from others, and wash your hands often. If you have symptoms, you must get a test. Call (401) 767-4100 for a COVID test.”

Thundermist Health Center offers drive-through and walk-up testing by appointment. There is no out-of-pocket cost and we do not ask questions about immigration status. Everyone with symptoms of COVID-19 should get a test. There is also asymptomatic testing for people who do not have symptoms but would like a test.
