Jeanne LaChance named Thundermist President & CEO
Warwick – May 11, 2017 – The Board of Directors of Thundermist Health Center has appointed Jeanne LaChance, MBA, CPA, as the new President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately. LaChance replaces Charles T. Jones, who served as the Thundermist President & CEO from 2011 to 2017.
LaChance, who joined Thundermist as its Chief Financial and Administrative Officer in 2013, received her Masters in Business Administration from Salve Regina University and her undergraduate degree from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. Prior to joining Thundermist, LaChance was employed by Westerly Hospital in a number of positions, including Interim CEO, Executive Vice President and COO, CFO/Vice President of Operations, and Compliance Officer. She also held the CFO/Vice President of Finance position at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia, NY.

Thundermist Health Center is a non-profit community health center providing primary health care services. Services include primary care, pediatrics, ob/gyn, internal medicine, dental, pharmacy, fully integrated behavioral health counseling and psychiatric care, psychopharmacology, school-based health centers, and nutritional services, including the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) program.
Thundermist has three locations, Woonsocket, South County, and West Warwick, and serves clients with and without health insurance.
In 2016, Thundermist served more than 42,000 patients. It is a Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home, the highest level of accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
