TransVoteRI.com Launch & Town Hall
Join Thundermist Health Center’s Trans Health Access Team for the virtual launch of TransVoteRI.com — a new website providing resources to reduce barriers to voting for trans, non-binary, and gender-diverse Rhode Islanders.
Trans and non-binary citizens who do not have identification documents that match their appearance, gender, or name may encounter obstacles to voting. Because of this, a major feature of TransVoteRI.com is a comprehensive guide on how to update one’s ID documents in Rhode Island!
This virtual launch party and town hall will:
- Introduce TransVoteRI.com and demonstrate how to use the guide to change one’s ID documents
- Provide a space for trans and non-binary individuals to discuss the role of civic engagement in our current political landscape
- Feature a discussion with trans and non-binary organizers whose work explores their community’s relationship to the democratic process
This free event is open to all trans and gender-diverse community members, as well as our allies!
