Earth Day marks opening of Thundermist Community Garden

Warwick – April 18, 2019
Thundermist Health Center’s Community Garden will host an opening day celebration on Earth Day, April 20, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 186 Providence St., West Warwick, RI.

The event will begin with a garden clean-up and feature potato and pea planting. There will be healthy snacks, free seeds to plant, and children’s activities.

“Kick-start your community garden plantings on Earth Day,” said Tara Cimini, Thundermist Food Access Team. “The community garden offers healthy produce to those who otherwise might not have access to fruits and vegetables.”
This event is free and open to the public, weather permitting. Thundermist Grows! Community Garden calendars are available for purchase.
