FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Thundermist’s Annual Breakfast Meeting Returns April 1
The event includes presenting awards to state Rep. Jon D. Brien (I, District 49) and Jonnycake Center for Hope
Warwick, RI (March 18, 2026)–Thundermist is pleased to announce the return of its annual breakfast meeting on Wednesday, April 1, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick. The event highlights the many ways Thundermist is working to increase access to primary care in Rhode Island.
Last year, Thundermist cared for more than 65,000 patients, the most in its history. With more patients turning to Thundermist for care, the organization continues to develop new and innovative ways to meet the demand, including the introduction of a mobile medical unit serving Woonsocket, West Warwick, and South County communities.
The annual meeting is an opportunity for Thundermist to unveil its 2025 impact report, as well as highlight the contributions of key partners in expanding access to care. This year, Thundermist will present state Rep. Jon D. Brien (I, Distrcit 49) with the Francesco Cannistra, MD, Memorial award. This honor is presented each year to an individual or group who has contributed to improving healthcare in Rhode Island.
Thundermist will present Jonnycake Center for Hope as the recipient of this year’s Community Partnership award. Thundermist’s board of directors established the Community Partnership award to honor an agency or individual who distinguishes themselves as an exceptional partner and who has worked to increase support and awareness of Thundermist’s mission.
Tickets for the Annual Meeting can be purchased here.
