
Paul George, MD, MHPE
Program Director
Paul is a seasoned family medicine physician with nearly two decades of experience in patient-centered care, medical education, and healthcare leadership. He has held significant roles, including medical director of value-based care at Thundermist Health Center and associate dean for medical education at Brown University’s Alpert Medical School. Paul has a strong background in quality improvement and care for special populations, such as unhoused and transgender patients. His academic contributions include research publications, securing over $5 million in grants, and developing innovative medical education curricula, earning him numerous awards for his impactful teaching and leadership. In his spare time, Paul spends time hiking, snowboarding, and traveling with his wife, daughter, and chihuahua.

Nithin Paul MD, MPH
Social Justice Curriculum Leader
Nithin is a dedicated family and preventive medicine physician with experience in both clinical care and public health advocacy. Currently practicing at Thundermist Health Center, he provides comprehensive care for diverse populations, including unhoused individuals and those in need of trans health services and substance use treatment. Nithin has extensive experience in health policy, having served as a health policy fellow and consultant for organizations such as ABC News and the Baltimore City Health Department. His academic journey includes a master of public health from Johns Hopkins University and a medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University. He is a recognized leader in community health initiatives, earning awards such as the Champion of Change Award for his advocacy work in Rhode Island.

Aaron M. Fein-Brug, MD, FAAP
Pediatric Curriculum Leader
Aaron is a pediatrician at Thundermist Health Centers in Woonsocket, with a strong background in pediatric care, education, and community health. A Boston University summa cum laude graduate in behavioral biology, he earned his medical degree from Tulane University, where he received multiple honors, including the ACP Young Achiever Award. He completed his residency at Brown University/Hasbro Children’s Hospital, where he was recognized as a positive champion of the learning environment. Currently, Aaron serves as a pediatric educator for the Thundermist Family Medicine Residency and clinical assistant professor at Brown University’s Alpert Medical School. His commitment extends to professional committee roles in the AAP and contributions to community health initiatives, such as co-founding the HCH Feeding Futures program.

Jessica Johnson MD, MPH
Obstetrics and Gynecology Curriculum Leader
Jess is a family medicine physician with a specialization in obstetrics, currently practicing at Thundermist Health Center in Woonsocket, where she also served as associate medical director. Her extensive clinical experience includes active staff roles at Landmark Medical Center, Women & Infants Hospital, and Miriam Hospital. Jess’s academic contributions feature a faculty appointment as clinical assistant professor at Brown University’s Department of Family Medicine. She completed her MD/MPH dual degree at the University of Connecticut, followed by a family medicine residency and chief residency at Oregon Health & Science University, as well as a maternal child health fellowship. Recognized for her leadership and commitment to community health, Jess has contributed to several research projects and quality improvement initiatives and has received awards including the AAFP Award for Excellence in graduate medical education and the Pisacano Leadership Foundation Scholarship.
