The Ryan White HIV/AIDS program at Thundermist helps people living with HIV receive medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare, medications, and essential support services. The program offers a sliding fee scale for eligible patients to make care more affordable.

Medical & Case Management Services

Available at two Thundermist locations:

  • Woonsocket (450 Clinton St.)
  • West Warwick (186 Providence St.)

Services include:

  • ADAP Enrollment & ADAP/RIFAB Assistance
  • Care Coordination & Case Management
  • Housing Assistance (including referrals and assistance connecting to housing resources)
  • Insurance Enrollment Assistance
  • Medical, Dental, and Behavioral Health Care
  • Nutrition Assistance
  • STI Screening & Treatment
  • Substance Use Treatment
  • Transportation Assistance … and more!

People qualify if they:

  • Have an HIV-positive or AIDS diagnosis
  • Are a resident of Rhode Island
  • Have a gross income at or below 500% of the federal poverty level

We collect insurance information if you have coverage and help uninsured patients access care. Current Thundermist patients should talk with their care team if they want additional services. For new patients, please call us at 401-767-4100.

Dental Care

Available at two locations:

  • Woonsocket (25 John A. Cummings Way)
  • Providence (557 Broad St. / limited hours)

Services include:

  • Preventative Care
  • Fillings and Extractions
  • Root Canals (on Anterior and Bicuspid teeth)
  • Crowns and Bridges
  • Partials and Dentures

People qualify if they:

  • Have an HIV-positive or AIDS diagnosis
  • Are a resident of Rhode Island
  • Have a gross income at or below 500% of the federal poverty level

We collect insurance information if you have coverage and help uninsured patients access care. Our Providence location serves Ryan White patients whether you receive your medical care at Thundermist or another provider.
